A bad thing to do. The oil will stop continuity to your circuits. Disconnect the ground cable to the battery and flush the oil out with solvent and let dry thoroughly overnight or blow dry with an air hose till dry and let stand for an hour. Now you can start at square one again to see what your problem may be if so

My hazards and indicators don't work on my 1985 escort xr3i

That could be a fuse or a relay failure. Both the fuses and flashers should be found under the dash on the drivers side.
Hope this helps.

Cooling fan does not run?

At the main fuse and relay box, check the 30A EGI INJ fuse. If OK, the main relay closes to apply power to the cooling fan relay. Next, check the 30A FAN 1 and FAN 2 fuses. If OK, power is being applied to the fan control module. The PCM processes engine coolant temperature sensor input and sends a signal to the fan control module which, in turn, causes the cooling fan motor to operate. Fan failure could be caused by malfunction of the cooling fan relay, the fan control module, the engine coolant temperature sensor, the cooling fan motor itself, or the PCM

Where's the fuse box located on the 1995 ford escort

Hi there:

Your vehicle has two fuse panels. The interior fuse panel is below the instrument panel in front of the driver's door. Check position 10, 15AMP for Control Fan System.

The main panel is under the hood behind the battery. Check position 3 80AMP for Fan and position 5, 30AMP for Cooling Fan System.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Blower motor not working for heat and air conditioner. need fuse locations and wiring color code to trace circuit

I've had this problem before too...first check to see if your fan can be rotated by hand (make sure the car isn't running while checking). If you can't spin the fan by hand, then you need to replace the fan. The cooling fan has a 40A fuse in the fuse box under the hood (driver's side). If your fan has siezed, it will trip this fuse too.

I have a problem with the electrics on my 1986 Excort XR3i Cabroilet. 3 components have sundly stopped working ie: the Indicators, the Heating Fan and the Main Electric fan for the engine cooling system.

Yes, it has breakers, check all the fuses, the breakers have little buttons on them, but the relays, you can't tell by looking at them, If you can find a relay for one of the things out, take it out and find another one just like it, pop it in and see what happens, you might need to buy a couple of them. Check it out. Good luck.

Cooling fan module???

cooling fan module just refers to the fan, the motor and the shroud. There is no electronic module.
The fan has relays for protectin and the engine computer oerates it when it gets siganls from the engine coolant temp sensor, the A/C being on, etc.
what is your issue?
