Question about 2003 Ford Focus
May be a loose or worn STRUT. Open the hood and look off to either side about in the middle. You will see a bulge in the fender well with a bolt and a washer and a nut on either side. That will be the top of the strut. Push firmly down on a strong place of the body and look and listen. A loose or worn strut will make a noise right then and there. Good luck.
