What maintenance should be done on a 2006 Toyota Corolla with 74,000 mil on it--due for a reugular oil change. What about belts and hoses?

The owners manual gives recomended things to look for every 3k-5k miles. Generally though, major services are done at 30k, 60k, and 90k miles and oil and filters are done with an inspection of belts, hoses, tires, brakes, and fluids at the oil changes, with filters changed as needeed at that time. I would recomend changing the brake fluid out, flush the cooling system, and giving it a good look over since it's 5years old, then you'll be good till your 90k service / inspection. Change your oil every 3-4k miles, check your tires once a week when you get gas. Your timing belt may be coming up for replacing also, but look at the manual. You may not need to do that till 100k miles. When it does come time though, I'd change the idlers / bearings and the tentioner while it's apart, that way all the spinning parts will be new. If the water pump is in there also, and it has'nt been done yet, I'd do it too. You don't want a coolant leak 3-6 months later after all the other work was done. Save up now for it and you won't be hit with a shocker bill when you get the work done. Plan on 2 days and about $1200.00 for parts and labor.

I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander V6 2WD. The car is due for a service (90K). The dealer quoted $340.00 for the service and suggested replacement of the timing belt for an additional $400. 1. Doesn't a...

I guess all services you need is replacement of filters, Oil, spark plugs if not recently changed
Belt replacement is worth at 90K, but price is too high! check this link: http://shop.autopartsfair.com/store/?N=11801+4294962486+1725+9318
it requires one hour work! or even less
other than this, if you have a service light on, either remove battery pole for a while to reset it, or ignore it and will disappear wft. some time!!!

Does it require tune up

Regular Maintenance is vital to keeping your car on the road. The time and effort you put into keeping up with scheduled maintenance can save you big money in the long run.
Dealer 30k, 60k or 90k mile tune-ups can run from $250 for 3-4 hours of labor and basic maintenance, to over $1,000 at places with high labor costs and additional maintenance services, such as timing belt replacement.
If the mechanic identifies needed repairs, this can add a significant amount to your total.
At 90K repair shops normally replace the timing belt, or timing chain.
Your car require a tune up, if you have more than 30K on it. What kind of tune up your car needs depend on how many miles do you have on your car.

Lexus ES 330 2004 At what mileage does the radiator need to be serviced? Also, does it have an internal timing chain that needs to be serviced?

the coolant needs to be serviced @ 60k according to lexus reccomendation. theres a timing belt that needs to be changed @ 90k miles. I usually just change the coolant with the timing belt because you have to take the water pump off anyway and replace the engine coolant.

I need to know about 2001 Nissan Sentra service on 88k miles , pleaseee thanks

Hello hecri, my name is JShreader. Thank You for asking your question here at fixya.com

Below is the Maintenance Schedule for 82k-90k. It is the 90k Schedule you need to be more concerned about (granted the maintenance has been kept up by you or previous owners).
a1a0806.jpg
This Engine is Chain Driven, so there is no need to worry about a Timing Belt. Timing Chains are designed to last the life of the Engine. As well as the listed items, personally on the 90k visit, I would go ahead check the Ball Joints and Suspension Components. These tend to wear around the 90-95k mile mark.
I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, JShreader!

Honda Accord V6 2001

I can see that as being possible. Hondas are usually due for timing belt replacement at 90k though - has this been done on your car? If it has, then it doesn't need to be done again for 90k miles from the mileage it was originally done at. If your car needs this service, it's the big one. A timing belt service usually is the timing belt, the t-belt tensioner, accessory belts, any tensioners for them, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, and all filters and fluids. That price may be somewhat on the high end, and I think you should comparison shop a few places to see where their pricing comes in, but I can believe that quote (the $920 quote, not the $1600 - that's ridiculous).
