Disconnect the negative battery cable first. Remove the serpintine belt. Next remove the red wire from the altenator. Unplug the black connecter from it next. Remove retaining mounting bolts.Remove altenator. Then reverse this proceedure to install

Lost keys pontiac trans port, need to remove ignition cyl.

it may work out cheaper to have a locksmith cut new keys for you, talk to one & explain the situation & see what can be done, if you change the ignition switch you will have to change all the door locks & the trunk lock as well.........hope this helps......cheers.

depending which motor you have and where you see the antifreeze driping from will tell you if the altenator needs to be removed for access these cars were also notorius for intake manifold gasket leaks usualy at the front of the engene where the manifold meets the head can also apear at the trans end of the motor if there is no antifreese in the oil this where you could start looking

Replaceing alternator on 2000 pontiac montana

I can help with this problem, I just today had to remove my alternator on our 2003 Montana van. Here is how it is done, first disconnect the wiper motor wires and assembly then the two wiper rods (flat) needs to be loosened and disconnected, next comes the pipe cross member that when removed will also remove the complete wiper assembly. The bad thing is, after you do all this and the alternator is not the problem. Which in my case it wasn't. I hope this helps all who are having this problem.

Sometimes it is easier to loosen wiper motor assembly and move it out of the way, then remove upper engine mounts "they look like a dog bone" and rock the engine forward.

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. To get at the fuel pump you have to remove part of the exhaust & lower the rear end.

Trying to locate the front blower motor in a 1997 Trans Port?

It is behind the glove box. There are a few screws/retaining clips at the bottom of the glove box on the outside. You then open the glove box and remove a few more screws. Once the glove box is out, it will be obvious where the blower motor is. It's the only big round thing down there. lol If you are still unsure, turn it on and listen/feel for it.

I hope this helps.
