Question about 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cabs
How do I get the 'door ajar'/dome light to go out. Most of the time, problem occurs with the key in ignition, occassionally problem occurs with key out of the ignition. Problem appears to be with driver's side door. I've tried repositioning the door latch and striker bar; at times it appears I've solved the problem then it will reappear when I'm driving.
I hear removing the relay for the door ajar will remendy this problem. So many people have replaced this relay and get no better results from it. My Ranger has the same problem ever since it was 9 months old. I tried two new relays and the problem comes back within months. That is why I just totally done away with mine. I rigged up a hot wire to my dome light so I can use it while I am in the truck. I know where the seat is in the dark so I don't need a dome light when I open my door.
