Question about 2005 Chevrolet Uplander
Well 1st i would open the Hood and with the engine _OFF) look for the obvious 1st such as fluid levels and ensure they are all correctly up to level .
you can go to most parts stores and ask to use the diagnostic tool that plugs into your vehicles diagnostic lead usually under the dash drivers side once connected turn the key to the ON position and allow it to communicate with your vehicle if any codes are found write them down if there is more than 1 code press the down arrow and continue writing them down
once this is done you will have an option to delete any and all codes to remove the chk engine light ...however you may wish to keep them unless you as i said write them down and if you need any parts you are at the parts store anyhow so you can also ask them advise on difficulty of installing certain parts or components as well ...hope this helps and is an easy fix .....and usually is especially if all is running well so far .
