The AC clutch on my 2001 chevy s10 is locked up. Can someone tell me is it hard to change

. Not hard but you will need a special clutch pack puller to do the job. . Undo the nut on the shaft, screw in the pullet and tighten up the bolt and the lot will come off the housing of the compressor. Installation is reverse procedure . Make sure that it is the clutch as you will get the same problem if the compressor is seized up

How to change a slave cylinder on a 2001 Pontiac grand am?

Are you referring to the clutch slave cylinder? If so, it is attached to the transmission under the car close to the front of the transmission and behind the engine. If you do this yourself, you will have to bleed the clutch slave cylinder lines after changing the parts. You should be prepared to refill the clutch master cylinder and follow a generally-accepted hydraulic bleeding procedure. If you are not properly tooled up and/or mechanically inclined, I'd advise you to take it to a professional.

Cant bleed clutch changed both cylinders still no clutch

does the slave cylinder have a bleeder? it should. auto parts stores sell hand-operated vacuum pumps for bleeding brakes. i have used mine to pull fluid through clutch hydraulics to get enough pressure to commence the regular bleeding process. hope this helps.

Changed clutch but unable to bleed the slave cylinder. Does that mean clutch master cylinder is bad? Got one from parts store but can't figure out how to take the clutch safty switch off to change it. Any...

Probably not. Bleeding clutch slave cylinders is tricky because you cant "pump it up". The master cylinder has no static valve so the best way to bleed the slave cyl. is to use gravity. Fill the master cylinder reservoir and open the bleed valve on the slave cyl. Allow fluid to drip into an open can until there's no trace of air. Close bleed valve and try clutch. If still no pedal, repeat the process. This is quite an acceptable procedure.

Best advise is to purchase a Chilton or Haynes Manual from discount parts store such as Autozone,Pep Boys, etc.for that and close other years and follow the step by step procedures for around $20.

Clutch repair 2005 VW Chico

You need to empty the engine from all fluids, tehn remove air filter and other parts, mount your Golf on a bridge and remove the clutch pressure plate assembly mounted on a side of the engine.

You will need special tools to align and mount the new pressure plate, and you will need to follow a procedure to reinstall the clutch without removing the transaxle.

Replacing the clutch is not an easy task for a beginner, if you do it yourself, get the haynes manual with the complete illustrated procedure.

After replacing you will have to adjust the clutch. See CLUTCH REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES.

2003 Tiburon 6 spd clutch replacement now tranny won't respond

Possibility, you may have intalled the clutch disk backwards.... if so, the disk hub is torqued against the crankshaft hub preventing engagement of the clutch. 2003 TIBUORN DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION: The 2003 MY 2.7L Tiburon vehicle equipped with the 6-speed manual transaxle employs a dual mass flywheel system. The 2003 Tiburon Shop Manual does not show the clutch disc assembly with the dual mass flywheel. This bulletin provides information about how to assemble these components. NOTE Although it is possible to assemble the clutch disc with either side facing the flywheel surface, only the assembly of these two parts shown in this bulletin is correct.
PARTS ASSEMBLY:
  1. Attach the dual mass flywheel to the engine crankshaft assembly.
  2. Identify the clutch disc flange side and the collar side as shown. 0240025a.gif
  3. Install the collar side of the clutch disc on the dual mass flywheel surface so that the flange side is facing the pressure plate side as shown. 0240025b.gif
  4. Attach the pressure plate to the dual mass flywheel and complete assembly of the remaining components per the Shop Manual procedures. 0240025c.gif
