Question about 1996 Chevrolet Camaro
I have a 96 Camaro V-8, lately in the morning after running 5 - 10 minutes it shut down. I wait 20-30 minutes and start again.
I have change the ignition module, spark plugs, cables and still doing it. Help.
It seems like a problem that would come from two parts one it could be a bad EGR valve and once car starts to warm up it does not work but Im more towards the intake air control valve this is what keeps your engine idle controlled by the car computer if it does not operate consistent to what computer says then it will shut off, this is located next to the throttle cable on the intake plenum, looks like a large bolt with an electrical plug on the end.try removing it and cleaning it with carb. clean, hope this helps you.
