Check the power and resistor connections, passenger side under dash, these connections are prone to being loose and they sometimes burn the plastic connector ends, verify that they are in fact making connection. The resistor plug is the one with more than one wire in it, this resistor is responsible for blower motor speeds less than high. Hope this helps, let me know.

I dont think my fan is working

there is a fuse for every load on the car, or car will catch fire. sooner or later......
the other fact is , many fuses are shared. some have 15 loads. (park)
think fan is working, ?
which one.?
1: cab heater
2: A/C condenser fan (extreme front of car)
3: the RAD fans, (see behind RAD)

tell fan? and I can tell which fuse.
the glove box guide , has a fuse page. lost that?

my guess, ? is the fan is OUT side the drivers CAB
"think" tell me its fan 2 or 3 above.
the tests for those fans is in the FSM.

the A/C fan turns on if A/C or defrost is selected. unless its
N.Pole weather. (it has logic that cuts this fan , under some wild conditions (unstated by you) what country? what latitude?.

the RAD fan, comes on , if you. (location not stated so, wild guess...)
1: drive 20miles
2: park and idle
3: as coolant passes 200F, near 230F, the rad fans come on
this is because the RAD is near useless , parked. (no air flow)

The FSM covers these tests.
or alldata.com

RAD = engine coolant Radiator.

Escort indicators work intermitantly

there is a bad connection in your wireing take off the stearing consol and the switch is under there as its an old car now you may need a new switch try swilling it with switch cleaner and look at the wireing it wont take much of a brake in this to stop it working

1995 ford escort a/c works great, but car overheats while a/c on

The thing to do is to look in your main fuse box under the hood and check to see if the fuse for that is blown. Another solution is to direct wire the fan from the fan itself to the battery, that will help you to determine if its a relay or if your fan motor has gone bad.If its works when hooked direct you can run a wire to theinside of the car and attch it to a toggle switch.

The radiator fan is not working, does it have a separate computer module?

The next step is to determine if the thermal water switch usualy located at bottom of radiator is working. There are two wires one is ignition power and the other goes to the fan.the thermal water switch acts like an opening and closing door When it gets hot it opens the door a lets the fan have power. If you have a testlight/probe you can check if there is power there when you turn on the key if there is you join the two wires together and the fan will go if it doesnt then replace fan if it does work replace thermal water switch.Good luckOh yeah!dont need a computer to tell a fan to switch on

I have a possible solution... Have you had the cars computer checked to see if it may be that the computer is not telling the fan to turn on? I will also look into a possible alterantive answer to this as well.
