Engine marks timing

timing marks are really the thing of the past...however and with that said take your gun point and watch for (yellow or blue flash) on crank shaft. It sounds like your distributor is not seated properly

I have a 2003 chev silverado, 4x4 2500 both power seats and seat heaters stopped working at the same time, Looking for reason why, all fuses seem to be good. I was told to replace the 25 amp relay on

Ok I don't know who these people are giving advice but I hope they are not gm mechanics. There is a fuse under the hood marked MBEC 1 50amp. If it blows it knocks out both power seats seat heaters and power windows passenger side front and back. I can't believe all this wiring ****!

Can not get the nut off the crankshaft so i can remove the pulley so i can replace the timing belt is the a speacial way to remove it

for changing a timing belt you do not need to remove the crankshaft or any things else just remove the timing belt cover loos the timing belt expander or timing tensional which will release the belt then mark or see for timing marking of both crank & cam then remove the timing belt & replace with new timing belt which fitting timing belt don't forget to match timing then tight the belt & belt tensional then start the engine if inexperience please don't try please contact the nearest authorized dealer or consult to a good experience mechanic that will help you solve the problem for more queries do write in to us we will help solve your problem till then see ya take care drive safe & do wear your seat belt

Replaced timing belt, now we have a surge, no power, just like the timing isn't advancing. We checked the fuel pressure and the vaccumn on it and double checked the timing on it, everything seems to check...

It sounds like the timing marks were not aligned in the correct position when the belt was changed. Usually when you change a timing belt, you must turn the engine over by hand atleast 2 full revolutions and recheck the timing mark alignment. The belt usually seats itself to the gear and the marks could have been effected.

Timing belt settings on seat inca van

If your caddy is the 1.9 diesel
The mark you are looking for is on the flywheel. Remove the plastic plug in top of the bell housing to reveal a small arrow. Rotate engine until the flywheel TDC mark lines up with this arrow
