Depending on why it was turned on. Honda had designed the car to come on every 15,000 miles To reset your maintenance light, follow this procedure

Odometer reset button procedure

  1. Turn the key to the II position (but not to III, or START)
  2. Turn the key to the 0 (OFF) position, then push -- and hold -- the trip odometer reset button
  3. Turn the key back to the II position, while still holding the button
  4. After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off
  5. Release button and turn key to 0.
If the light comes right back on withing 20 minutes then you would need a required maintenance

How to turn off "maintenance required" light

There are two ways to erase codes out of the ECU. First thing to do is disconnect the battery for about 5-10 minutes. That will reset the computer, but it may come back on if the problem needs to be fixed. If so then you can go to your local auto parts store and borrow an OBD-II scanner and see what the problem is. Once you figure out what it is and fix it then the scanner will also erase the code if you want or disconnect the battery again. Have a good one!

How to reset maintenance light on 2007 infiniti fx35

Easiest way is to unhook the battery on your vehicle and leave it unhooked for a couple minutes. All the codes will be erased and the light will go off. If the issue is still going on that initially caused the light to come on, it will come back on though.

Good Luck

Check engine light, all maintenance is completed. How do you turn it off.

usually when the check engine turns on is because the PCM detect a problem could be any thing, mechanical , electrical or just a sensor, you have to take it to you mechanic to pull the codes or in auto-zone they do it for free, but any way the problem have to be fixed or the light will keep coming an easy way to reset the light is just disconnect the battery cable..

Reset maintenance light

Go to any Autozone and free of charge they will run the code for you, This will tell you "why" the engine light is on. If it's important - fix it or go to shop. If it's something that is minor and doesn't effect the trucks coming and going to next step. Hook up the code reader - again....see if the light comes back on. If it does then ask the Autozone employee if you hold the code reader. There is a "cancel" button to get rid of the code. You can delete the code. The Autozone is not supposed to erase the code. BUT HE CAN LOOK AWAY WHEN YOU DO IT!

Maintenance Service light

the best thing to do would be, take the car to autozone(they will read the codes for free) and ask them to check and erase the codes on your car.

you can also disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes. if your want do it this way, make sure you have the code for your stereo first.

How to turn off maintenance req'd warning lights on dash

this light 7407fc2.jpg correct? to troubleshoot this light, the car can be scanned with any OBD2 scanner/code reader. after it has been scanned, the scanner will have an option to erase all codes. once they have been erased the light will go off.

the only other way to make the light go off is to disconnect the battery for 15-30min. this will reset the engine ECU, causing the light to go off but also will erase any codes that may be stored in the EC
U. if the ecu resets and car is started and detects the same problem the light will come back on.

Check to make sure that the fuel tank cap is on tight.
When the fuel tank cap is loose:
The electronic engine control system warning light comes on as a temporary malfunction.
