Hi a lot of newer cars have this fail safe device fitted to protect the engine, check your oil level and top up accordingly, then try starting your car again.

Low oil pressure switch is designed to cut off engine to prevent damage. If you are sure oil pressure is good when light starts blinking, replace pressure switch. Idle position sender IDK.
Sounds like your oil pump may have seized.You'll need a gauge to verify this. The engine has a mechanism by which it automatically cut the engine off if there's a sudden drop in pressure. I would replace the pump. If you do make sure you prime it prior to tightening the oil pan down. A big question is why you were that low on oil. Good luck!
The oil light is either a bad sensor or it's telling the truth that oil pressure is low. You can install a new sensor or hook up a mechanical gauge to find actual pressure. Cutting off can be caused by way too many things to list
The oil light does not indicate the car is low on oil (based on your discription) it indicates the oil pressure is low, the no start is most likely due to this low pressure and the fuel pump has been cut off to prevent damage to the engine from low oil pressure. Please have a shop locate the cause of the low oil pressure warning and repair it as needed. It could be a false light or a real one, which means if you drove it very far you may have damaged the engines bearings.
Hi, try putting in a new oil pressure switch. If the light continues to come on, you will need a new oil pump. The oil pressure switch cuts off the fuel pump when the oil pressure is low. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Likely, you have a damaged engine bearing. When there is a problem there it will turn oil pressure light on because bearings keep the pressure inside the crankshaft...It may stop as the bearing overheats and binds, then loosens up a bit allowing a re-start when it gets cooler. Battery sounding dead is likely because the engine is locking up and too difficult for starter to turn. At this point, it is not a do-it -yourself project ...either you need a lower end rebuild or engine replacement.
Just guessing, but it sounds like you are loosing pressure from the bearings.....If you had the crankshaft journals cut, or if they were slightly out of round to begin with, this can happen. Cutting removes material...the journals on most modern engines are too thin to do this (same weight saving idea that gave us rotors that you need to throw away) After cutting, they go egg shaped. Not cutting and starting with out of round condition will essentially give you the same problem but may take a bit longer to fail. Of course, check all clearances and sealing points, but I believe that's where you will find the problem.
you have a defective oil pressure sending unit, when the light comes on the fuel to the engine is cut off, replace the sending unit for the oil pressure light.
The oil light should come on when the car stalls, this is normal. The stalling isn't, do u have a warranty thru the dealer u purchased it from? Most have at least a 30 day warranty. A 2004 should have included some type of warranty. U should bring it back, and they should correct the problem at no charge if u recently purchased it, and there is some sort of guarantee. Let me know if there is.
