Question about 2005 Ford Focus
In the front of the engine,on the bottom, is a lug, a hole to grab the engine by if u jack up the engine as much as u can it will make it easier to take the alternator out from the bottom as it will give u more room this way.

I believe the alternator on this car comes out through the bottom.its very uncomfortable to get out,but it was the only way i got one out.i tried everything and the only way was through the bottom so jack it up as high as you can and support car to work with a little room.i believe that 1 screw can be taken out from the top and the rest from the bottom if i remember correctly.its been a few years since i replaced 1 on a focus.hope this info helps.take care and good luck, manny
