Question about Volkswagen Golf
It is very rare for that buzzer to become defective. You should suspect the switch at the door. I'm assuming at this point, you can see the switch. If so, remove the switch and check to see to see if you get an Ohm reading between one connector and the other. You need a volt meter to do this. Press the switch manually in and out, it may be stuck in a closed position.
