Question about 1994 Dodge Spirit

Clock and radio both stopped working at the same

Clock and radio (original equipment) both stopped working at the same time in my 1994 Dodge Spirit 4 door sedan. (Very low mileage car.) All other electrical systems appear to be working fine (dome light, dashboard lights, etc.) My mechanic says it is not a fuse -- says the radio is shot. I don't have confidence in my mechanics answer. Any of the experts have any suggestions about the cause of the problem and how to fix it???? Thanks

Your mechanic is right..the circuit for the clock runs through the radio, and if the radio dies ..so does the clock

Then check the fuse yourself. The owner manual will tell you where it's located in the fuse box. Try swapping with another fuse of the same size. Fuse panel probably on drivers side near kick panel.

Either the fuse for the radio is blown, or the radio is dead. The clock is on a different circuit.

How do I reset my clock in my Dodge Dynasty, it is a 1994?

get an owners manual on ebay, look up "clock" in the index. decide which clock in the manual matches the interior trim package in your car and follow the setting instructions. you will have this crisis at least twice per year and any time the battery is disconnected, so you need to become self reliant in this aspect. next you will learn to kill and field dress a deer.

1992 Dodge spirit radio quit working and fuse is good. The clock on the radio still works

If the clock works and it keeps the right time, you'll need to replace the radio. Try a salvage yard. They should have a lot of them.

Clock

If the radio and clock is the original equipment then here is how to set the clock.

1. Turn the radio on

2. Press and hold in the on/off-volume-clock control

3. While holding the on/off-volume-clock button in, press the left(-) side of the "TUNE" button to advance the hours and the right (+) side to advance the minutes.

Note: The clock displays 12-hour time with no A.M. /P.M. indications

These instructions come from the Electronic Sound Systems manual that I have with my van. Hope this helps.
