Unzip the cover of the arm rest and pull it back, under that in a hole is the Torx bolt that attaches the arm rest to the seat frame, i think it is a T45 size torx socket, u can buy that at Autozone for about $5.00 USD

Bought a 2009 Chevy aveo for college student. It has a small flip down armrest that currently wobbles and flips down past "horizontal" stop point. How can I repair this? Thanks for the help!

Most all of these seat units have been assembled at the factory before the seat cover was installed on the seat.
Standard repair is to remove the seat from the car, then remove the cover and padding and you should find the plastic or the metal ( or both) framework & armrest mechanism is broken.
Repair parts will not be available from a dealer, so a salvage or junk yard may be your next trip.
Dealerships will sell you a whole new seat.
God bless your efforts.

How di I replace the armrest in a 2005 Mercedes c230 sedan

I am assuming you are talking about the front center armrest here. You have to start by removing the back cover of the center console along with the vent louvres if equipped. I think this will expose two screws that you need to remove and the armrest will pull out. If you are trying to remove the armrest because the latching mechanism has gotten out of sync, you can fix that in the car. If that's the case let me know and I'll try to walk you through the repair process.

How to remove the center armrest console froma ford escape 2002 model

there are about 8 torx screws (very small) near the hinge of the lid. remove those and the lid will come to remove the entire console, there are bolts on the back of theconsole accesible from back seat, and on the side of the console. easiest way to acces those bolts would be to remove the front two seats. they are held in by two bolts in front and two nuts under plastic covers in the back. raise the emergency brake lever and the console will slide up and be removed.

How do you remove the armrest in a 1989 Chevy K5 Blazer?

The padded part of the armrest has a screw underneath. Once you have it off you'll see the other screws it hides. Take them out and the armrest is off.

How do you remove the center armrest/storage area from a 2003 GMC

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that has
very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. www.reliable-store.com

Repair 300e driver seat armrest

Most often this is due to a loose armrest mounting bolt or worn limit washer, unzip the cover and tighten the arm rest first, it is most likely a T45 Torx female bolt head AKA star drive.

How to replace armrest latch

If you are talking about the center armrest between the two front seats, the repair is easy. The plastic latch can be ordered for about $10 and replaced by taking apart the top lid assembly. I did it and it is not hard at all. Now if you are talking about the armrest compartment, that is one the I have not had any luck figuring out and have not found a solution to from anyone else.
If anyone knows how to reattach the armrest please let me know. My e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks, Pete

1997 Ford expedition power window.

The only screws holding the door panel are the ones holding the armrest in place. You may find them under the armrest. Remove them. and then using either a trim stick or a small scraper or screw driver, feel around the edges of the door panel for the clips that are holding it in. If you use a screwdriver, use a pair of them as this will give you an even pull since you will put one on each side of the clip and then pull outward. Use a moderate tug to get them loose, not pulling too hard. I prefer to work from the bottom up to the top. Once you have that loose, you will need to get hold of the glass and walk it back into the track. Probably best to have a helper to hold onto it in case you find you need a tool that is not within reach.

Hope this helps.
