Question about 1996 Toyota T100
First thing I would do is blow inside the player real hard a few times to see if it blows the dust off the glass laser eye lens. If that doesn't work which usually it does, then you can remove and dismantle the player and clean with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab, or get a can of compressed air and blow it inside to clean off the lens.
If the lens is dirty, then this will help. If cleaning doesn't help, then the laser lens circuit itself may be faulty.
