P0722 and P1618 are both transmission related fault codes.
P1618 is the transmission control module requesting that the check engine light be turned on to alert you to the fact you have a transmission problem, the P0722 is the code that indicates the fault, this codes definition is the output speed sensor has an erratic signal, this would cause the electronic speedometer to act up and that is the problem I am sure, replace the speed sensor, it is on the transmission case, it should have a 2 wire connector going to it.

What might cause 2004 4l80e to be in limp mode no speedometer and stuck in 2nd gear

When the system goes into to Limp Home mode it means that a serious fault has occurred in the electronics or a mechanical failure has been sensed. What you need to do now is have the computer control system scanned for fault codes, this (the fault codes) will give you a starting point to diagnose the problem that has caused the Limp Home mode to be initiated by the computer control module.

Error codes PO600 and P1747

P1747 CAN-Bus Monitoring
P0600 Serial Communication Link
These codes indicate a communications failure between the transmission control unit and ABS/traction system. These modules share information which allow them to operate properly. It is likely that one of the modules has an internal fault.
With these generic codes it is not possible to determine the exact nature of the issue. Your best bet is going to be a dealer diagnosis using their sophisticated equipment so that the root cause can be determined and eliminate any guess work. The p codes are too generic in this case, unfortunately.

Loss of power with Engine Light and Check VSC in ls 400

First I suggest scanned tyhe computer module, in order to know what fault code is stored there; note and send us this code number for additional details.

Sometimes, Autozone or AutoShop wth scanner reader codes make this job for free.

P0410 Secondary air injection system fault, P0128 Coolant temp

most ecu controlled vehicles have a 'limp home'mode if 2 or more fault codes are stored,it is designed to get your attention before damage is caused and to get you to the nearest to fix,i would have codes cleared and retest vehicle,it is the cheapest and 1st option for any shop, some late models even have excessive mileage past service interval in the 'limp' program

Speedometer does not work properly. Since yesterday and a drive clean test the speedometer is wacky. The needle seems to be about 40Km above actual. When I turn the key of and park the car the speedometer...

The circuit board that controls the speedo has failed, this is the symtom of that failure a wacky speedo reading, sticking reading high and so on, they can be repaired by any GM authorized electronics repair center, don't go through the dealer for the repair, they will send it out to the repair station and then 2X the cost to u, get the name from them though and call them yourself.
