1997 suburban C1500. I replaced the Front pads

You will have to check each brake caliper for pressure when the brake pedal is applied. You may have a sticking piston in one of the brake calipers.

This will cause a spongy pedal.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

It can be done, but if you are a beginner and not alot of tools, and a jack and jackstands, I would say no. The tank is rather big, and with gas in it, it's a bit rough to remove. You might seek out a helper with some mechanic experience.

When I turn on my 2002 Suburban the dash lights do not go on anymore. Started intermittently now completely off. Can't see Gear placement or odometer

Modern speedometers are loaded with electronic components, and these are subject to failure. Just a broken solder point can put an entire cluster out of service.

There are numerous cluster repair facilities across the country. Google "speedometer repairs." Scan down some of these websites and see if your specific car is mentioned. If the clusters in certain vehicles show problems, it seems these problems repeat themselves over and over with other cars of the same model.

It's in the distributor. There is 2 connectors on the outside of the distributor to it. Make sure they are both connected before replacing parts. The gear on the distributor wears out too.

Replaced distributor and rotor not starting

Are you sure you have the plug wires on the right location on the distributor cap? You'll need to have a diagram to check by. If you're off 1 placement to the right or left it won't start.
