Hi:
A new serpentine drive belt can be purchased for less than $30, and If you are paying a shop to install it, I would not think that it would cost more than $100 total cost, but you could call your service department and ask for a best guess estimate? Often, you can also price out the part at your local auto parts store too, as sometimes the dealer parts prices are some what inflated .

Bypass power steering

Attempting to drive a car designed for power steering without the pump will increase the effort at the wheel so you may not be able to steer it.
Go to a junkyard and buy a used pump, cost you less.

I have a '97 Infiniti QX4 with 150,000 Miles on it and I have not changed the timing belt. Is it safe to drive it the way it is? I know you are supposed to replace it after 105000 miles. Is there something...

you can have a look at the state of the belt, make sure its not fraying or missing parts, but you should change it as soon as possible if the belt snaps the cost will be a new engine at worst. min damage a new head. a new timing belt and timed up will cost the lesser of the two. timing belt can cost less than you think.

My car is a 307 and when you drive over 100 speed it shows a warning sign and it becomes slow and does not pass the 100 speed. also advise me how much does a fan belt cost.

Your car has a governor built in so it will limit the speed to about 100. Call a auto parts store for a correct price for a belt with make , model year and engine size.

Is it worth to keep my 1990 Toyota Corrola if THE MILEAGE IS 99,560 miles as of today. I have just get oil change and minor maintenance last saturday, 11/13/10 and spent $650 for new starter last 3/10/10...

The easiest way to figure out if it is worth keeping is to add up the cost of repairs for last year. Do not add oil changes, tires, gas or brakes because these need to be done on a new car as well as an old car. When you have a total for repairs for the year divide that number by 12. This is what it costs you to drive your car. If this is less than the monthly payments on a new car then keep the old car. Hope this helps.

I know that my belt and tensioner bracket need to be replaced, how much should this cost me?

assuming you are talking about the accessory drive belt, this is the one that runs the PS and AC then...

about $100 for the part from the dealer and another $100 to install

maybe $50 aftermarket and you install it yourself

then of course you need to factor in the cost of the belt

Cost will be about 10x this if you are talking about the timing belt

I have a 2004 cavalier and its makin a grinding noise

Is it coming from your engine or your wheels? If it is the wheels then you need new brake pads and possibly new rotors. If it is coming from the engine than it may be your radiator or even your alternator. Is the car having any overheating problems? Is it having any problem starting? If it is the brakes/rotors it will cost about $150, radiator (depends) could be anywhere from $100 to $1,000, alternator about $350.
