I would look at the frame ground on the truck, make sure all the connections are good. You can spend hundreds of dollars on parts chasing this problem, I know I have.

The control unit in the dash is a VERY common repair/fix for this vehicle. Go to a local wrecking yard and pick one up. Very cheap and very easy to do.

Heater blower only works on high

Most likely the blower motor resistor or the fise for the low speeds. The high setting for the blower motor is on a separate circuit than the other lower settings.

Heater not working on 1994 528i bmw but ac blower works

Hi it sounds like either the thermostat or the heater matrix, although if there is air in the system then this would also cause this fault. get the thermostat checked first as this could cause more damage if not fixed quickly.

The heater matrix or heater core may be blocked or not circulating the warm air, This is a more expensive job if it will not unblock.

Hope this helps

White exhjaust fumes

White smoke from the exhaust is a common symptom of water getting into the engine via a leaking head gasket.

Check you coolant level. Has it dropped below normal?

Check the oil filler cap. Are there any signs of a whitish-brown emulsion in the oil? (This is a sign that water has contaminated the oil.)

If either of these are present, get the engine check professionally ASAP. Continuing to drive it may cause irrepairable damage.

Hope this helps!
