The "air / heat " door is either run by vacuum or motor.
The "defalt setting" is always on either defrost or heat.
I would say you may have lost vacuum to the control, or the control may be bad or a vaccum line is off.

The dash air vents on my 1995 Buick LaSabre do not seem to be blowing any air. Air flows only from the windshield and the floor. What could it be?

The distribution of the air flow works off a blend door which is operated by a motor. The motor is faulty or the mode switch in the control head were you set the mode settings is at fault

My '99 century's heater/air conditioner will not switch settings(def.,floor, vent, etc) it will change speeds and temps only. it blows a little from the defrost a little from the vents and a little from...

sounds like there is a blockage in the heater ducts or the doors that open & close to direct the air are stuck or broken. maybe a bad blend door actuator

How to replace 2000 buick century temperature actuator

First, what is the problem that you need to replace the actuator? Is the air flow from the vents not changing? If this is the problem, the actuator is inside the venting behind the control panel and is difficult to get to but is possible. Follow the hoses on back of temp controls to the actuator. There should be 2 small bolt screws to remove to change out actuator.
If this is for something else, let me know

No air in side vents

Sounds like the vaccuum controls that direct the flow of air from your heat/ac fan might be out. There are small one-way valves that control these functions. they're cheap $1-$5 dollars. These keep the vents working properly. CHeck under the hood near the firewall, look for small little black plastic lines. These lines are joined at places with a small disc shaped device maybe 1/2 thick. These are the valves that might be problematic. Pull one out and see if you can blow air though it. also try to **** air through it. If you can do both, than the part is bad and needs to be replaces.
