1998 CHEVROLET S10 BLAZER BCM BODY CONTROL MODULE

How do you check to - a9b5e26.jpg

Main ECM is located in engine compartment on passenger side fender on top of antifreeze overflow bottle. Body Control Module is bolted to the back side of the drivers side under-dash cover; and, I believe that the air bag module is under the passenger seat.

The BCM is responsible for radio, windows, seats, blower and climate control, compass, auto-dim mirrors, theft control, anything else the body of the car does.

The PCM is Powertrain Control Module. The PCM is responsible for motor and trans operation. These two computer do communicate with eachother (ie. the theft control tells the ECM it is ok to start the car).

It is possible the BCM is telling the blower to run for some oddball reason. The dealer is not always right, but a scan tool with capibility to tell you more than codes is needed to verify.

Hope that helps with this.

BCM body control module, best would be to go to your local parts place and ask for a print out of the location.

Will not shift out of first 98 chevy s10 pickup 2.2 L

If it is an auto matic trany, it could have went into limp mode. This is usely fixed by replacing the shift control module. it plugs into the side of trany pretty easy to locate when you have the new one in your hand.

Trying to locate the ignition module for chevy blazer s10 1994

Ignition module sits in the ignition distributor, remove distributor cap, there will be two elec. harness plugs, the one with two wire's is for the pick up coil, the other one is for the ignition module, just unscrew module out of distributor and install new one.

Location of drl module 2001 chevy s10

The drl module is part of the body control module,(bcm) located under the dash on the heater box. The drl relay is in one of 2 places. In the
fuse/relay block on the left fender. Or taped to the body harness near
the hose for the rear washer. The rear washer hose comes out of the
bottom of the front washer bucket to the firewall. Hope this helps.

89-98 chevy blazer

It's not worth doing all that conversion, buy the time you spend the time and money to convert the 89 4.3 to work on the 98 blazer, it would be cheaper to install a 98 vortec rebuild. The 89 4.3 have a TBI fuel injection system and the ecm on the 98 will not work and the bad news is that the ecm on the 98 also controls the transmission shift points and the 89 will not, so even if you swap the ecm to have the 89 4.3 engine work. the transmission will not shift. Sorry for the bad news but it would be cheaper to replace the 98 engine with the years of 1996 to 2001. Good luck and hope this helps.

1988 chevy s10 blazer 4.3, cut out , will srart but will not stay

Your vehicle as an ignition control module located on top of the distributor (under the cap and rotor) I would pull the ICM and take it to NAPA and have it tested if bad replace it (cost about $80). Sounds like a ICM problem or it could be the ignition switch located on the steering coloum which can't be tested but costs $20. Hope this works
