Question about 2004 Lincoln Navigator

Open Question

I replaced my D1R low beam bulb, for my lincoln navigator on the drivers side, and it is not coming on at all, it will flicker on the shut off. the fuse's are all in tact and i tested the passenger side on the drivers side too see if it was the connection and the passenger unit worked. I've switched the ballast too on the drivers side light. so it's all new. any suggestions?

Open hood and remove the radiator site shield and the air delector on top of the headlamp assembly. You will then see 2 clips that you will pull up and then remove the headlamp assembly.

did you check the fuse box? there is a fuse for each left and right low beam (HID lights). In my 03 it was the second fuse from the top right hand side -- check owners guide for fuse # Hope thats all it is.

Your bulb could be bad. With gloves or a plastic bag covering your fingers, remove and switch bulbs to see if problem moves and follows the bulb. If problem is still on Drivers side, I believe these high energy systems used 2 headlight relays, one for each side. Could be you changed the wrong relay(you did not say if you replaced a bulb or relay).

Sounds like the ballast similiar to the ones in flourescent lighting may have gone bad and that is why the bulb is not lighting up.
