95 5.2l jeep grand Cherokee temp gauge fluctuates drastically and the heat only works when it is in the normal range

I've had behaviour like this in one or two other vehicles (not Jeep) and it usually stemmed from air pockets or airlocks in the coolant liquid. This really plays up with the thermostat and temp gauge as they don't respond to hot air on the sensors like they do with hot liquid. If this is your problem then the real item to determine is why are there air pockets in the system. Cylinder head gasket leakage, corrosion of head casting or cylinder head cracks can cause this. Check out also that your coolant recovery tank isn't for any reason feeding air instead of water back into the radiator as it cools. A motor with this problem will quite often push water out of the system when driving and get worse when air gets back in to replace it.

Clear liquid is leaking from the bottom of my 2009 sentra

There is little I can think of that is going to be a clear liquid in your car. The only things that I can think of 1. Condensation coming from the drain of your A/C unit(most likely), 2. If it is a small amount and it is coming out of the tail pipe, it is water. The catalytic converter turns most of the unburned gas from your engine into water.
Automatic transmission fluid is RED, Antifreeze is Green in Nissan products, Brake fluid will be a semi clear liquid with a brownish hue to it. Manual transmissions use gear oil which is a golden color. Engine oil, depending on how well the car has been maintained, will be a light goldish to a black.
I hope I have answered your question.

Check engine light indicator is on...after total

Obviously you have something above the tank that's leaking. That will result in a code the same as a bad or loose gas cap. At this point, the only way you can find the source is to take a good look at everything, even if it means dropping the tank to do that. (better than wasting fuel or having a fire start under there).

I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, 2.2L. I am loosing coolant. There are no leaks from the overflow to the radiator, to the block, nor to the heater hoses. I can smell coolant while driving with the heat on. ...

if you are seeing antifreeze coming out of the little black hose, your heater core is leaking,
That little hose is for the AC,it is designed to let the moisture drain from the "evaporator",this is the unit that gets cold in the car,it is in the same housing as the heater core, but seeing just water from this hose is you need to check to see if that liquid has a green or yellow color to it like your coolant, touch it with your fingers, coolant feels like a thin oil,or if you can smell it to smell the sweetness odor of coolant.hope this helps.

91 accord lx overheating, leaking fluid but no smoke or steam? i have a 91 accord 180,000 miles awesome car but just now started over heating. no smoke or steam are coming out i don't know is that means...

the green colour will be antifreeze additive in the water, you should really trace the leak source as it is bound to continue or worsen without repair. You could try a product called CE-LIT which comes in little packets, looks like chopped up grass or silica - add to hot radiator and run at idle for several minutes, it is really good if you can find it where you live. I put a screwdriver thru the rad when fixing my number plate in the snow, huge leak ensued, ce-lit closed it within 5 minutes and I was able to drive off. Never leaked again either, if you cant find that one, get a similar one, but not the liquid leak sealers like barr's as they are ****.

Troubleshooting code # 0442 on 2002 Jeep Liberty

Im guessing its a P0442. That means:
Causes of this could be a few things.
I recommend replacing the gas cap. Then take it to an auto place to get them to erase the code.
If it comes back on then...
Under the hood is a small green cap. That is the EVAP line. Follow that all the way to the gas tank and see if you see any leaks. If you do, replace/repair it.
If you dont then the only thing you honestly can do is take it to a mechanic with an EVAP Emission Leak Detector [EELD]
Good Luck!!
