Question about Nissan Pathfinder

1 Answer

I have a 03 Pathfinder that the highbeam will not go on the passenger side. The lowbeam & running lights work on both sides. When I take the driver side bulb, (which does work on the drivers side on highbeam)and put it on the other side, the highbeam does not light. Can anyone shed any light on this? (sorry for bad pun)

The daytime lights run off the highbeam circuit on reduced voltage. If the lowbeam is not operational, take a look at the plug at the headlight and inspect for looseness. If tight, inspect for a constant ground and a 12v power supply with the headlights turned on low beam at the headlight connector. repair a necessary

03 ion lowbeams wont work highbeams do have

The dark blue wire is the ground wire for the low beams and your pink is the ground for the high beams.

When you touch that wire to ground the lights should come on. If not there is a short/break in the wire somewhere

Double check your pink wire to confirm that it is supposed to be a ground signal.

My low beams don't work but my highbeams do?

replace the bulb, highbeam and lowbeam use different filaments (on the same bulb) and lowbeam get used much more hence blow first 99% of the time leaving only a working set of highbeams

My left headlight highbeam light works and the lowbeam don't why

the filament on the low beam burnt out. but the high beam didn't. You have a filament for each. 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam in the same light bulb. You need a new head light.
