Late start after head service and injector replacement, already code the injector. it will just start and stop for few crank. n finally start

Hi Ashneel

Sounds like you've had head (gasket) service, and replaced the injector(s), and are getting more injector codes. If you have a code reader (they're pretty cheap on eBay), you can get more particulars. However, you're getting an injector code with a new injector? I'd then suspect:
  1. The fuel system upstream of the injector.
  2. The electronics connecting to the injector.

Hopefully there would have been some basic tune-up work done in conjunction with the head and injector work, but...
  • If the fuel filter hasn't been replaced recently, consider replacing it. A clogged filter can starve the injector for enough gas to inject.
  • How old is the fuel pump? It clearly is working, but if it's on it's last legs and not pumping like it ought to be, again you can be starved for fuel.
  • Have you refilled your gas since the work? It's possible you got batch of suspect gas. You might consider dumping a bottle of Octane boost in to see if things run better (or well enough to burn off the old gas).
  • Your electronic ignition system (or distributor if the vehicle is of that era) controls the coordination of fuel, spark, and crankshaft position. Check the wiring to the injectors at both ends to make sure there's not a loose connection or cable patch. Check the fuse and or relay for the fuel pump and EIS.
It's also possible that fuel is a red herring, and you might have a really dirty air filter, or fouled/poorly connected spark plugs.

Hoping this helps you narrow it down!

I wouldn't give up on it, but I would sure be P.O.ed at the mechanic- $700 for a bad diagnosis. Why would he think 3 injectors were leaking? Was it running rich? Did he do a scan for trouble codes? Did he check fuel pressure?
Probably something minor-anything now should be minor after $700. Well, at least you got new fuel injectors. Have some tests done, scan for codes, check fuel pressure. Carefully clean the MAF sensor with maf cleaner spray, or at least a sensor safe spray cleaner. It is delicate, so use care. Let it dry thoroughly before putting back on. About all I can think of, good luck.

My 2000 Ford Expedition "hiccups" while driving in turns, or from a complete stop to acceleration into a turn? Sometimes it occurs while drive up a slight incline.

Sounds like a fuel problem, not enough gas getting into cylinders to burn. Have the fuel pressure checked with a fuel pressure gauge. Correct pressure in the fuel rail is critical for the injectors to spray enough gas. If pressure is low, possibly a weak fuel pump or partially clogged filter. When fuel pressure is tested, the fuel pressure regulator can be checked as well.

Died whie driving. lost fuel and spark. what would cause this?

I just answered another question and your post appeared as unanswered. My apologies for a 3 week late response. A broken timing belt will stop turning the distributor / camshaft and the fuel pump if it actuated by the camshaft. (many are) Since you did not include an engine size this is my best effort at asnwering your question. Usually on a fuel injected engine the fuel pump is mounted in the gas tank. However, if the distributor or ignition module is not sensing cam shaft movement, you will not get any injector cycles.

2.3 V-6? You should be a 2.5 V-6 whether you have a TBI (throttle body injector) or sequencial, If there is no injector pulse then move your inspection to the distributor, there you will see a distributor pick up, this controls spark and fuel, and yes the rule is if there is no spark then there is no fuel but you case is special you have spark and no fuel pulse, you will need to inspect this for corrosion as it can give spark and no fuel injector pulse, that is one area of no injector pulse, Then inspect the MAP sensor (your a spped density), the most common complaint for a map sensor is it start then dies. inspect this sensor its mounted on the firewall make sure the vacuum hose is connected, and that it is plugged in.

I have 2002 ford focus new spark plug and wire and air filter and fuel filter snd i still have a very poor gas milage

It could be 2 things. The grade of gas you're using and / or your style of driving. Bump up to the next level of gas and don't put your foot into it as much. Get off the gas earlier when coming to a stop. I have a full size SUV and I average 24 MPG city.
