This is probably an indication of an error condition. There isn't a lot that can go wrong with the AC; low refrigerant level, compressor failed or the drive belt slipping reducing compression of the refrigerant.
If the system is capable of signaling a fault condition, it may also have stored a code in your on-board computer. Go to one of the chain auto parts stores, most of which offer a free scan of your computer to retrieve the error codes. I'd call first to make sure the trip isn't a disappointment.

This could be several problems but I would take this back to the shop that did your transmission and have them identify what is going wrong. This should not cost you a thing.

I have a 1995 toyota camry and my overdrive light keeps flashing on and off also, the speed odometer cable broke when this happened. what could be wrong

Keep driving it & your will ruin the transaxle,
if it isn't worn out already

You DO NOT use a vehicle with ANY Flashing Lights
or Fault Codes, in the systems

You do replace the broken cable before you
can diagnose anything else
