Plugs changed oil changed new fuel filter not catalytic conveter it goes 30 mph no faster what could be wrong

More than likely a split rubber hose on your turbo charger this will give you this problem check the hose carefully, you can get a spare if the is the problem and is easy to fit. other than that check your fuel primmer bulb in the engine compartment is it solid if not pump it till it's solid if this works and you can drive as normal, then the problem is a fuel line pressure pump that actually sit's inside the fuel tank and is locate from the top of tank, this pump should pressurise the fuel line up to priming bulb so the bulb is solid at all times.

Hope this helps Good Luck

Without seeing it it is a hard thing to diagnose. You could have an injector leaking, possibly a fuel line. Do you smell gas? Sometimes with fords around the fuel filter leaks because of a broken clamp. The o rings around the fuel injectors could be leaking, or one of the rubber fuel lines. If you go off road alot, you could have a pin hole in one of the rubber or metal lines. Check and get back with me and I will do the best I can to help. Hope tis helps.

Hard time starting up have to let it sit with key on then it starts up acts like it not getting gas at time could it be the throttle control motor

A fuel pump is the most likey problem, when you key-on a vehicle the fuel pupm turns on for 2-3 seconds to prime the system, it sounds as if your is not functioning properly. You can check fuel pressure at the schrader valve after pinching the return fuel line. You should have at least 35 psi, if not replace the fuel pump. Good Luck!

My 1997 chevy tahoe is hard to start, I changed the fuel filter and spark plugs but it still takes a lot of cranking before it will start

the pressure regulator may be leaking. pull he vac line and see if its wet. wet is bad. Also these fuel pump connectors are known to overheat from poor connections. Do a search on gm fuel pump repeat failures and overheating connectors. Also the fuel pump could be leaking down so the line needs to be primed. Try cycling the key about 3 to 5 times before you start it. The pump will prime for 3 seconds each time before shutting off. If this helps the problem is the fuel pump.

Hello. If you remove the fuel filters and fill them with fuel, then hold the accelerator pedal to the floor while cranking the engine it should start. If that does not work, spray a little starting fluid (ether) into the air intake while cranking, just use the ether sparingly. This should get you going again, good luck.

I can start the car but it takes sometime 3 to 4 times to get it started? I wasnt sure if its the spark plugs that need to be changed or what it is?

More than likely it is the fuel pump going out and it takes a few tries to prime the fuel system, I would perform a fuel pressure test when its cold and has been sitting and see if it takes along time to build pressure..

04 f250 6l diesel cranks but will not start when cold.

it seems that because it sit's for a while that perhaps it's losing it's prime. if ythis happens generally you will have to reprime the fuel system. in a diesel system you also have glow plugs to help ignite the fuel. check to make sure your glow plugs work, but i would start with whether you have proper prime in the fuel system.. please rate this
