Time for a serious brake job my friend. Your pads/shoes are shot and the grinding noise is the rivets eating your disk or drum. They don't like to let go. Mileage suffers. Stopping distance increases. You must get this repaired as soon as you can. Expect to pay up to $800.00.

Sounds like you need new brake pads and posibly new calipers. If you get new brakes don't forget to get the rotors turned.

is it a grinding noise, or vibration noise, as sometimes the heat shields can produce a vibration noise that can be misheard as a grinding noise......does this grinding noise go away as you brake ????...do you hear it more whn you go left or right ???

Whenever I go down the road at 35miles per hour you can hear a noise from the front driver side tire. Like a flapping noise? and you can also hear it near the steering wheel inside.

check to see if theres something hitting the wheel, or if there something in the tire, most of the time its a plastic cover that hits the tire, check for any loose or hanging plastic.

Just a simple suggestion since I can't hear the noise or actually inspect it. I would recommend having the break pads checked out. If the pad is gone and you are now grinding metal on the disc break you will be hearing a horrific noise. You would hear it more when you are slowing down because you are applying pressure to the breaks which in turn puts pressure on the break pads "if there is any pad left" and would be diggin in even deeper into your rotors. Let me know if this is not the issue and I will try to help more. This would be a very good place to start though.

Grinding noise in front end when coming to a stop,

could be a stone stuck in one of the calipers , sometimes driving in reverse can clear the stone.

2005 honda accord noise when breaking (transaxle)

You say you hear the noise when you "slow down". Does this mean you hear the thumping noise when you let off the gas and let the car coast to a stop or only when you are applying the brakes to decellerate?
If you only hear the noise while applying the brakes then I would assume it has something to do with your brakes. The first thing that comes to mind would be rotors that aren't true or warped which could make a thumping sound.

Do you feel any vibrations in your foot when it is applying pressure to the brake pedal? If you do feel a sort of pulsating feeling then it could very well be your brakes making the noise.

I hope I was of some assistance,

This sounds like the anti-rattle springs where left out of the brake calipers.
