    Could be something as simple as an oil pan gasket or drain plug gasket. Migh tbe something more serious like a main seal. Hard to say without knowing where the oil is comong from. Give the engine a really good cleaning and see where it comes from and that'll point you in the righ tdirection.

Good day... try to see where its coming from but i believe that its coming from the crank case or your oil pan drainage is a little loose. try to replace the oil pan gasket if it comes from the crank case. tighten the oil drainage if its a little loose. hope this helps. have a nice day

I own a 2002 ford taurus ses. My dashboard light was out, but I just had my car fully serviced last month. I noticed may car was over heating. I drove home. No coolant whatsoever inside it. I cannot...

Personally, I would pour water in, it is a lot cheaper and if there is no leaks then you could drain it out and put coolant in.

BUT before you start it check your oil dipstick and make sure that you don't have coolant on your oil dipstick.

  • Hi, for oil to leak that fast you have got a massive leak. The ticking itself could be from low oil. First check the oil plug (where you drain the oil) on the oil pan with will be the bottom most part of the engine. It is possible the plug is not holding tight, the gasket may be old, torn or just plain missing. Sometimes people will strip them oil plugs. When this happens the pan has to be tapped a little over and a new, slightly oil plug installed.

  • On the oil filter housing are oil cooler line that have to hold a lot of pressure. Follow those lines to see if they are leaking oil.

  • I don't see a front seal leaking leaking quite that bad. A valve cover I am not sure would leak quite like that either. Your oil pan gasket could leak like this though. When you check the oil pan plug look strait up to all them little bolt holding the oil pan to the lower part of the engine. If leaking is noted then snug them bolts up or have them snugged up.

  • You may have to throw a piece of cardboard on the ground and crawl underneath with a flashlight and get a better eyeball on the leak. What ever the leak it is massive and should be repaired before driving or you could loose to much oil and seize your engine. The ticking. in my opinion, is the engine telling you it is very low on oil as it is.

1989 Chevy S10 Blazer 4.3L V6 Automatic: Massive coolant leak occurred after letting truck sit for about 30 minutes after running it for around 1 hour. Coolant steadily flowed from what appears to be on...

Check the bottom side of the water pump for wetness, as well as the lower radiator hose. The water pump if leaking, will run the coolant down the front of the motor,and can appear to be coming from the top of the oil pan. It is nearly impossible for the top of the oil pan to leak coolant.

How do i know if my waterpump is defective ,is there a weep hole to know if it bad.I have antifreeze leaking right behind oil pan.

You can check for play in the pulley or if it is leaking and yes there is a hole in the bottom of water pumps that can leak when they are bad.

Was driving, car suddenly overheated and stopped. Put in water and water pouring out below belt assemly. Was able to get home filling radiator, stopping and filling. Is leak from a hose? Wilson

It could be leaking from the radiator or from the hose connection but you can not tell until you physically look for it. Be careful this can cause permanent and costly damage to the engine, so avoid driving it for too long.

If it's oil leaking, you may have a leaking oil cooler line, they have compressed fittings on them and tend to leak, I seen an Aurora with the same problem. V8 engine?

Why does my 1994 honda civic waste so much oil. i pour oil every other day but i have no leaks

My friend;
Try this;
1. You may use bad grade {brand} oil.
2. You could be driving fast {speeding up}.
3. You may have bad cylinder / piston ring, which causing oil to leaks inside the cylinder & burn it up through exhaust.
4. Check the quality of your oil: your car must or should use 20W-50 viscosity .
5. Check your radiator it should NOT has oil mixed with its water.

Try it, & PLZ; let me know if I add any benefits to you.
I hope I add some thing valuable to you.

Water pouring out when poured into radaitor

You have a bad casting plug in the side of the engine. A lot of people call them freeze plugs because they pop out if the coolant freezes. They also rust through. They are driven in place and the size can be looked up at the parts store. You will want to change all of them . Lee
