Is there a reason you took off the battery cable ? You probably blew the fuse. Check fuses under hood and inside the cae.

How do I remove the front seats of a 2008 Kia Sorento

Unhook both battery cables and short them together to discharge the capacitor that fires the air bag. Then you need to get in the passenger compartment and look under the seats for any connections that attach to the seat. Disconnect these. You then need to use tools to remove the bolts that hold the seat frames to the body and remove the seats. If you put in different seats or don't have the same connections as the old ones, you will have SRS errors on the BCM and the airbags and tensioners wont work. When you are done reconnect the battery cables,

2005 ford escape 2.3 wont charge and dies when i remove positive battery cable

Hi Joey I would believe you have blown the alternator and the voltage regulator. It is not a good idea to remove the battery cable with the engine running. If you must do so, before reconnecting turn on the head lights, the heated rear window and the interior fan to reduce the surge when reconnecting. Regards John

Power seats wont move

If the other functions work, like tilt, etc. There may be someting jammed in one of the tracks, like money, a penny will do this. Also, these seats have cable problems from the motor to the seat transmissions. The seat will prob need removed, shop usually charges 3 hrs labor to repair.

The battery should be under the front passenger seat. Move the seat forward as far as it will go, and you'll see a metal plate (may be under the carpet), which comes off with four Phillips screws. To actually get the battery out, you will need to remove the seat.

My drivers side power seat not moving but i can hear the power working when i hold the switch. fuses and circuit breakers good. why wont it move?

Had exactly the same problem. Hacked a solution, disconnected the flexible cable from the motor. Problem was the nylon drive gear was stripped. Just twisted the cable by hand to desired position ( wife's car) to fit her. Left cable detached and accessible under the seat if needed again. Big tussel getting the seat removed. GM has a very large strange torx screw holding the seat belt mount which has to be removed. Other strangeness the front 2 seat mount bolts were metric. The rear 2 were US SAE standard. Other strangness one bolt was never installed at factory ?? Was probably close to lunch time at the seat place. If you want to repair fully you should get a used ? motor as I think the wholw motor housing was rather crimped and built into th seat frame. That's probably why I did the "manual hack" works well for a year now. Now window motors are another sad story.
(inner door pannel is welded in place) need to cut for access - Dealer quited $500 - window is rather still closed.
Good Luck
