Question about 1999 Saab 9-5

1 Answer

My dad has a 2001 95...and there is no heat coming through to the back seat area...it actually is blowing warm in the front and comes out cold (as in freezing cold) in the back. Is there a blockage somewhere to the back?

Why do not have cold freon at evaporator coil on 2003 eacalade

not enough info does the front blow cold and just the back blows hot if so there is a mixing valve to let hot water come to the back so in the cold weather you can stay warm if the valve is bad it will let hot water to the back if the front is also warm you probably need a recharge and maybe a leak in the sys.

Heat don't work Just blows cold air but the control for the heat is warm to touch

Check coolant level. Start cold with cap off and add coolant as necessary with HEATER ON, while running. Let it get up to operating temperature and rad fan comes on 2 or 3 times, then make sure topped up and put cap back on.

05 YUKON REAR HEAT NOT WORKING

Rear heat not working ? The blower motor isn't working ? No air coming from the rear vent's ? Is it just a yukon or XL or denali ? What size engine ? 4.8 , 5.3 or 6.0 l Manual or automatic climate control ? Does the blower motor work on any speed ? The front an rear heater system are seperate , have there own electrical circuits . Could have a couple of different systems ,could have a control processor or relay's an a resistor block . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a wiring diagram and a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Plus to get at the rear heater-A/C unit you would need to take the right rear trim panel off .

I have a chevy venture 1998. I put freon 134a in the low valve near the radiator in the front of the van. It blows cold air in the back of the van but not in the front. Is there another valve to put freon...

No ,there is not another valve . One low side service port an one high side service port . An only one A/C compressor . Under the hood in the engine compartment there are A/C lines going into the firewall . These go to the front Evaparator unit . With the vehicle running an A/C on do this line's (pipes) get cold ? If yes , your problem is probably the temp. actuator . Control's how hot or cold the air coming from the vent's get . If stuck half way , hot an cold air combine to make warm air . Replacing some of these actuators can require the dash to be removed . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

I find the 2007 Highlander Hybrid heating/cooling system is very poor in the cold winter. The interior of the cabin takes forever to warm up and the foot area is cold. Also there are vents in the back...

indicates that the control for the cabin is not operating correctly
the control for the heater is not turning on fully and the air flow direction control is not moving as designed
