SOURCE: 03 ford expedition interior lights stay on and door ajar reads

This is a very common problem with Fords. I have one that was doing this as well. What works for most people is pretty much what you have tried - spraying inside the latch all over with WD40 Until it's coming out the bottom of the door. If this fails to work, the switch probably needs replaced. The switch is located inside the door near the latch. It should be pretty easy to find once you have the door panel off. Look for the wires leading to it. A new switch is usually very inexpensive, but may have to be purchased through your local Ford dealer. If you're not comfortable taking the door panel off, a mechanic should be able to do this repair for you in less than an hour of shop time.

The interior lights stays on in my vehicle. I have to remove the fuse in order for them to stay off. That same fuse control my windows. I have to put the fuse in momentarily to put the windows up or d

Open one door at a time and slam it closed. If you still have the problem, you probably have a door switch that needs to be replaced. Also, I must add to check the interior light switch to make sure it is not in the on position, and if you have kids, they may have manually turned on each interior light.

Have replaced battery, starter, solenoid - now 3 weeks later it won't start again. my odometer flashes on and off - could this be my computer going bad?

Check for something draining the battery. It could be something like a switch on an under bonnet light or boot light sticking

Trade the bulbs with each other, and see if the problem transfers. The bulb could have a bad connection.

The dome light on my ford expedition stays on

Check owners manual on dome light operation - if that doesn't work, check for a bad door switch...take the switch out and Ohm across the contacts (if the switch reads zero Ohms with the switch depressed...then the switch is bad - should read infinite with the switch depressed).

No interior lighting

All of these systems are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module, GEM for short, most likely it has failed, Ford can test it and determine what the problem is with it.
