The selector to route the air does not work, on 2005 lincoln town car. what is the problem?

The airflow is directed by a series of doors in the ductwork that open and close in order to deliver air to the vents specified by the operator. The doors are operated by vacuum. When the doors do not work properly, the most common problem is a vacuum leak, although it could be caused by a bad actuator...(the device that the vacuum operates). Good Luck! The battery junction box is located in the engine compartment. In that box is where you will find your fuse. The under side of the cover should be well labeled to identify the fuse.

This is a driver preference issue the tire manufacturer always recomends higher air pressures because they want you to obtain optimum performance, the car company manufacturer recomends the tire pressure that will give the smoothest ride I prefer the middle of the two, tire companies 40 psi automobile companies 28 - 32 psi I recommend 36 psi all around front and back.

In order to charge, you must locate the low pressure valve to install the refrigerant. The low pressure valve is between the compressor and the evaporator. Do not charge on the High Pressure side, The high pressure valve is between the compressor and the condenser. To locate the low pressure valve, follow the line that comes from the compressor and routes toward the firewall. The valve will be somewhere on that line. Do not overcharge. The amount of pressure that is needed on the low pressure side will depend on the ambient outside temperature.
