You may have tiped the carburator over when you tore engine it apart and a needle may not be seating right causing it to get the wrong amount of gas it could be flooding the engine or not enough when going uphill or down rebuild the carb and it will run alot better probably.

2001 Honda passport engine over heated, wouldn't accept acceleration, now it won't start. Is my engine blown

for sure the head gasket is gone. depending of the extension of damage you may have piston holes, piston ring warping, cilinderhead melting/warping or even spun bearings.
It all depends if you respected the car and turned off the engine as soon as the overheat started, or not and pushed on to destruction.
Still if replacing the engine head gasket the mechanic finds more trouble, just buy a replacement engine... it will probably cost less than repair, if repairable

Overheating Honda Civic (2000) 4 door.

could very well be the water pump. they dont always leak if they are bad. sometimes the impeller that moves the water through the system fails.

Replaced starter after over heating still not working. what should i check now?

Changing the starter is not usually the 1st thing to check. Anyway:

Is there mayo under the oil cap on the engine?
Does the heater blow cold air?

The head could be warped if it overheated. A new headgasket and a skim of the head (possibly the block too - called decking) might be needed.

Still overheating after head is skimmed

waterpump? No movement of water/coolant, engine overheats. Engine overheats, warp heads. Next time you rip a head off, check gasket to see if head gasket failed or if there is a different cause to car overheating.

I need the firing order for a 1987 Honda Civic 1500cc (carburated model). This car has a distributor, but the plug wires connect in a straight line rather than in circular fashion around the distributor...

I found an illustration for an 87 Civic 1.5L engine, carbureted. By the looks of it, it's 1-3-4-2 although this graphic shows a round cap. I see the Accord 2.0L does have the plugs in a line, not in a circle. Hope this helps!

Honda civic 1992 twin carburators model.

I dont know where do you live, but honda civic 1992 don use carburator, they are fuel injection, you can have coolant temp sensor problem, or map sensor problem, run diagnose jumping the diagnose wires loated in the passenger side, kick panell close to the door wall, better get the repair book in the parts store to locate the conector ,and read how you can run the diagnosis
