Sounds like sticking valve body. Try trans shops, they usually diagnose for free.

How do i use a power transmission button?

You should activade the OD on your Cherokee if your are hauling a trailer. or if you are in a constant climb.. The OD activated will maintain the transmission in third gear.

Dose not shift in passing gear what can i do to fix

A band is broke in the transmission. Take off the transmission pan and you will see the pieces in the bottom of the pan or stuck to the filter screen.

1995 jeep cherokee larado wont shift to third or fourth its a 4.0

Check you transmission fluid first. This transmission has gears 1-2 auto 3 and OD 4. If you are in 3rd and 4th and it is not recognizing it, it may be the linkage or you transmission needs to be serviced. This transmission and transfer case in this year jeep if bullet proof. It is a great setup. You shouldn't have this problem unless the service to the transmission has been neglected. Pleas don't forget to rate this solution for me.

Odd shifting 99 jeep grand cherokee

A common problem with most overdrive units.Overdrive should only be used above 40 mph. With the mileage odds are that you need to have transmission looked at professionally. It maybe time to consider rebuilding it.I do not see a trans service of being a benefit.
