Yes you should. Once the compressor fails in sends flakes of metal from the pump into all components of the a/c system. The drier really needs to be replaced. The evaporator and the condenser need, at the very least, to be flushed. Depending on which state you are in there are VERY high fines for working on your a/c with being certified. Make sure you are not in one of these states. If you can buy freon in your auto parts, you should be OK.

Change the fuel filter and run some Lucas fuel injector cleaner through it. It sounds like you got some bad fuel or water in the fuel system.

Think you need a professional that knows how to work
on air conditioning ,to start from scratch
Since you were playing with it,I would leak check it,then
recover all refrigerant and air you let into the system & get
a system I could continue to diagnose, if there still was issues

2004 hyundai santa fe 2.4 L did a compression test on moter got 50# per cyliner this seems low , what should they be ?

Should be about 150psi, did engine over heat, if so could be bad head gasket, also check make sure timing belt did not jump teeth, here's a diagram of timing belt mark's, maybe will help to check if timing belt jumped, hope this was very helpful.

White smoke in santa fa

Hi Secure,

I was going over unsolved problems and found yours.

After a cool night, condensation forms on the cool metal. The white smoke is that condensation burning off. If it did not stop, that would be indicative of a worse problem.

Comment back if this is still occurring.
