Yes you should. Once the compressor fails in sends flakes of metal from the pump into all components of the a/c system. The drier really needs to be replaced. The evaporator and the condenser need, at the very least, to be flushed. Depending on which state you are in there are VERY high fines for working on your a/c with being certified. Make sure you are not in one of these states. If you can buy freon in your auto parts, you should be OK.
