I got a 2002 Buick LeSabre and I just replaced two fuel pumps because they get real hot and they slow down on working out and get about 5 miles out of both of them and now I gotta replace the third

Eloy, if the pumps are heating up, you must be running with very low fuel in your gas tank, fuel is a must to keep pump cool and lubricated or you are continually getting bad pumps. Clean tank thoroughly, replace the sock on end of pump, replace fuel filter check to make sure there are no pinched collapsed fuel lines.Try running gas tank no lower then quarter tank and buy a quality replacement pump and give it a try.

Fuel pump

You don't specify what make or model or year of vehicle you are talking about, but my guess is that you bent the rod for the fuel guage when you changed the fuel pump. Only way to fix it is take it out again and see what happened.

1996 Pathfinder stalls when momentum or gravity forces gas to front of tank.

Technically it shouldn't happen.
The sock filter for the pump is about a quarter inch off the bottom of the tank. As long as there is a couple of gallons of gas in the tank it should not matter what the truck is doing.
Its possible the filter is damaged or not in the right place, or the sending unit is off and you have less gas than you think.
I should also tell you running the truck with less than a quarter tank of fuel is tough on the pump and will shorten the life of it. The pump uses gasoline for lubrication and to keep it cool.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 Mazda Protege 2.0 LX?

A 2001 Mazda Protege (actually, all models from 1999-2003 including the DX, LX, ES, Mazdaspeed, and Protege 5) does not have an inline fuel filter. The only fuel filter it has is a "strainer" or a "screen", which looks like a nylon mesh "sock". This strainer is connected to the fuel pump, located in the gas tank. Although this fuel strainer does not require periodic replacement, it is recommended that it be changed if you are replacing the fuel pump.

Running out of fuel

you may have a transfer hose in the tank leaking. sometimes from fuel filter sock in bottom of tank to fuel pump in tank, the hose slits. not sure on nissan though.
drop tank and remove pump and examine pump & lines.

Changed fuel pump on 99 gmc sierra and has gone out again in less than 2 months, any suggestions what could be causing it?

Did you change the fuel filter? A partially clogged fuel filter will burn up a brand new pump. Otherwise I would suspect you just got a brand new bad fuel pump. Has happened to me twice, so it is possible. Some parts I pay more for to get the OEM brand. Fuel pumps, water pumps, heater core, etc. Any hard to replace part, I buy from the dealer or from a parts store that sells the OEM brand.

Backfier and sputtering, almost stalls going around corners

couple of things, does this problem occur with a full tank of fuel?if it happens with a quarter tank or less i would remove fuel pump to inspect the sock filter, sediment in tank sloshes around and clogs this sock up when fuel level is low, another possibility that the air /fuel ratio sensor maybe out of spec usually causing "lean" misfires, good luck

How do I change the fuel pump

No pressure at fuel rail or nothing coming from injectors? I have seen pumps fail like that though. Pump comes out like the older pickup/sending units did. after tank is down, remove snap ring then remove pump. Check the "sock" filter on the pump to make sure it's nopt plugged up...If it is, you can change sock and clean out tank. Otherwise replace pump.
