Hi,
Are there any trouble codes being thrown at all? How many miles are on the vehicle? Have you taken the vehicle to a dealership to have them check it out and see what they think it may be?
Thank you,
Lee

    Hi,
There are a few recalls/notices but nothing that would cause what you are explaining. There are a lot of potential things that could be the problem. Transmission/drive train related seem like the first and most obvious. Did this develop over time? Was it always like this, does the vehicle always behave like this? Please give as much detail as possible. Honestly you just have to ask yourself how bad is the problem. If the vehicle is still performing up to your standard then you just drive it.
    Thank you,
    Lee

1995 nissan sentra automatic trasmission will not go into passing gear

Gear shifts happen depending on how far the gas pedal is
pressed & the load on the vehicle

Transmission pressures change as you drive under different conditions,so the shifts happen at different speeds

There is no passing gear

If you have a 4 speed, you have 3 forward gears & an overdrive
forward gear, plus torque converter lock-up

You saying you have no 4th to 3rd downshift or whatever

Maybe the transaxle is failing mechanically inside-worn out

Transmission 2 gear not working

Simple tell you there is a valve inside the transmission, the ends of the valve are respectively throttle control oil pressure, oil pressure and speed when you step on the gas inside the valve throttle pressure increases the transmission oil, pushing through change down to one side after a series of relations between the transmission will be blocked, as the speed of high-speed hydraulic control are on the rise, until after the oil pressure is higher than the throttle inside the valve to the other side through the transmission shift up oil, after a series of relations between the transmission block

I have a 91 toyota celica that will not go when put into gear.

Have you had problems with clutch slipping up to this point? Like engine revving up and no change in speed while driving. Like going into 4th or 5th gear, letting clutch out, giving gas, and feels like no response? Engine just revs up? That's a slipping clutch.
If that's your problem, you need a new clutch.

2004 Camry lurches forward when stopping.

Sounds like the torque converter isn't unlocking quick enough. Drive at 45mph,keep foot on gas and use other foot to touch the brake and watch the tach to see if it speeds up,when converter releases. Check trans fluid level hot.If it is more than a couple years old, change. Use the correct fluid for Toyota and add a bottle of Lubgard. Have the throttle positon senor scanned and check any idle control circuits. Throttle Body may need cleaning.
