Should have 2 hoses side by side running into your firewall they go to the heater core ,trace them out see where they lead to,I think 1 may goto your waterpump

Im trying to flush the cooling system on a '97

Not positive about that engine, but the usual method is the heater inlet will come off the cylinder head somewhere and to the firewall, and the heater outlet (the return hose) will be at same place on the firewall and go to the water pump, very close or at the fitting where the lower radiator hose attaches to the water pump inlet.

Drained radiator added prestone Radiator flush refilled and started overheating, drained radiator replaced thermostat and now I get no heat from heater,Radiator water is hot

disconnect the heat hoses going into fire wall , put hose into one with pressure and flush as it sounds like it could be bloked in the heater core, the other thing that could be the problem be the hot ,cold switch as it restricts the flow to makes the heater hoter or colder , it might need tlc or replacing as it is manaul not elec

Need help finding inlet heater hose from fire wall to engine

The inlet going TO the heater core should be the top one (I think) but in any case it would be the one with the heater control valve on it (see picture below) Hope this is what you were looking for....

Yes. Is there a heat valve in the heater hose may not be opening. Next no heat valve disconnect both heater hoses crank engine and see where the water squirts out of engine thats where the inlet side of the heater Hook the garden hose to the other side and blow it out probably full of rust change antifreeze more often

Can you use a prestone flush and fill kit without opening the radiator drain **** or removing hoses?

No, the flush kit is mounted on the heater hose and you need to drain the system. Removing the lower radiator hose and termostat is the best method for flushing draining the coolant system.

1995 Gran Am 4 cylinder. I want to back flush my cooling system using the Prestone ''Flush 'N Fill Kit. Where do I insert the Tee? I do not know which is the radiator inlet hose as this is where Prestone...

insert the tee by cutting one of the heater hoses and clamping it to the two ends that result.

determine which one is the inlet hose. It is further away from the water pump housing so that when you backflush through it, it also flushes out the heater core.

Hope this helps.

How often do you do a radiator flush

A flush kit can be purchased at most auto parts stores simplifing the process much easier. It will come as a tee that fits onto your vehicles heater hose and a garden hose will hook up directly to it making this a quick and clean project for you. Prestone does make this kit so ask for it by name. Their kit will stay on the car and they last forever it seems. I have one on my old hot rod for the past 13 years now

Should I back-flush the system?

I would not use any Super Sealer of Stop Leak, this is just a personal preference due to all the trouble I've had when dealing with the consequences of that stuff later on down the line.  I would definitely back flush the system with the kit to get any nasty stuff out of there so you know you are working with a clean system.  I'm not sure about the A/C system though.

Car runs at normal temp. but heater does not heat

Get a prestone flush kit. Splice in the t adaper with the heater hose and follow the directions. Check petcock on side of radiator for drain plug or remove lower radiator hose if you want to drain it next time.
