Since my front struts were replace, I've had this rubbing sound coming from my front end. I've had my brakes and struts checked (by the shop that did the replacement) and have been told there's nothing wrong with my brakes or struts. What could be causing this annoying sound and should I be worried?

Rubbing noise or grinding? Is it louder going around corners? It sounds like it could be the wheel bearings, and if it is indeed the wheel bearings, then yes, you need to get them replaced asap. Wheel bearing failure can cause the wheel to come off of the vehicle, hub and all.

This sounds to me like a broken strut more than anything. As far as i know you can not remove the front differental, because this is the main drive. The rear wheels are only drivin while in four wheel drive. I would sugest to take your car to a mechanic shop and have them "shake down the front end" for any loose parts. A ball joint can also cause a noise as well as a strut mount or strut.

Popping sound from front end when braking

Can be several things. When you brake, the weight of the car shifts forward and every joint has movement. You can have bad ball joints, tierod ends, and strut bearings.

You need to go to a reliable front end alignment shop. Usually they give estimates. If you have noise you are close to having something come apart while you drive.

The brakes can make some noise but usually its a clunk or rattle or scrapping noise.

My 95 toyota corolla makes grinding scraping noise when going uphill. It's coming from the right front of the car. Almost sounds like it's coming from the breaks or transmission. A mechanic thinks it could...

Bad motor mounts will not usually cause the kind of noise you describe they will cause more vibration to be felt at all times.

Sometimes the brake rotor dust cover plate can rub against the rotor and make a grinding/scraping sound. Raise the car, remove the wheel, and check the clearance between the dust cover and the rotor.

If your shocks/struts are bad the tire could be rubbing against the strut. Check the strut.

Front end shakes bad when I brake

My dear if according to you,

You've replaced tie rod ends, lower ball joints, sway bar links, struts and strut ends, and the warped brake rotors and the issue is still at hand; then you ought to consider replacing the hubs.

Good luck.

I have a 99 jeep cherokee sport. When making a sharp turn to the left I hear a rubbing sound coming from the left front tire area. There is currently a light squealing noise when stopping. Are the two...

Probably. Check your brake rotor and caliper. The brake pads may be worn down enough to make that noise. Brake pads are around $29 bucks for a set. And rotors are about the same each at Autozone. I just did mine recently and I am VERY happy now that my 99 Jeep cherokee stops right and doesn't make the rubbing noise when cornering, and the squealing noise when stopping. There you go! Happy Motoring!
