Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

What mileage can I expect from a 4x4 rear differential? Should it fail at under 100,000 klms?

yes the diffs have known failures but no recalls
and its blamed on harsh treatment or poor maintenance

its a kia diff its a light weight SUV type vehicle design not a robust commercial diff
fit an upgraded diff to something more robust
and spend the extra money

no likely for kia to have one but if
if it was a vacuum diff design then yes it could fail

Just put in brand new alternator. now it wants to stall when slowing down and at intersections.

That doesn't sound like alternator trouble.
Usually, when wanting to stall when slowing down/stopping points to fuel/injection or sensor problems.

Spend some money to save some money. You can replace bits and pieces trying to cure a fault .. The easiest and best way is to go to a workshop, explain your problem and let them run a diagnostic check.

2009 camry LE dashboard console lid stuck how to

Depending on where you are located, I would either take the vehicle by your local Toyota Dealer or locate (through your online search engine) a specialized foreign/domestic auto repair shop and ask a service advisor if they can take a look at it and pre-determine (prior to spending money) if they have had problems in the past with them? Then I would inquire if they could kindly assist you in repairing the issue. More than likely something is jamming the release from opening, or it is internally broke and will need to be replaced.

02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2 i want an explanation

Bank 1 is on the side of the engine that cylinder # 1 is on
( Bank 2 the other side)

Sensor 2 is the rear monitor sensor, they don't do much
or fail often
( Sensor 1 is the most common one that sets all the codes
you hear about -- there the ones closest to the engine )

I would change any O2 Sensors that have 100,000 miles
on them & the rear ones look at with an oscilloscope, unless
you want to spend the money for new ones

You definitely do not need a repair shop to change those sensors

Raise up the car & unscrew them

I purchased a GM Certified 2008 Escalade in April 2010 and I haven't driven the SUV for over a month. Today I turned the key and get nothing. I think I need a new battery?

Great SUV and hopefully factory warranty to 100,000 miles included...Your battery can certainly lose it's charge when not being driven over a month. Your Escalade has many advanced electronic safety features. These continually drain the battery when not being re-charged while driving...First try to jump start your car from another car (that is running) to see if the battery might be saved...You could have developed a bad cell while in non-driving mode...Hope your battery is still rechargeable...If not, you should purchase the largest cca rated battery for your Escalade. These more powerful batteries can take more than a standard battery...Look for at least a 1000 cca (cold cranking amp) rating. Hope this helps. Delco, Autozone, Walmart, and Costco have the best pricing...not in that order..

What is the recommended mileage for replacing the timing belt on at 1994 Toyota Camry 2200 4cly Thank You Frank

Hey Frank, take your front protection cover off and check your belt. Look for cracks and tears, also missing teeth. It is usually recommended around 100,000, but they can last longer. If the belt looks good, don't change it. If money is not an issue, then go ahead and change it if your close or over 100,000. They can last awhile but if it is over that and money is not a problem, change it. If it breaks, your stranded and it can cause engine damage. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

ya, and all the hills make it 10x worse. i'm from pittsburgh. it all depends on how much you want to spend. but make sure they are winter performance and not all season, they are better for snow and icey conditions.

good ($150-$200):
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3
Goodyear Ultra Grip SUV
Dunlop Grandtrek SJ5

best ($200-$300):
Michelin Latitude X-Ice
Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow
Toyo Open Country G-02 plus
