p0456 was likely the gas cap, evaporative emission alert.

Either the exhaust is leaking or management needs reset.

'Clear the Self Learning Data' procedure. Anytime fuel component is replace, this procedure needs to be done. (exhaust emissions as well)

1. Unplug MAF sensor
2. Start car for about 3 seconds. Turn off car. confirm P0102 code
3. re-connect MAF sensor. Clear code. START car.
4. Run car for 10 mins.

My 2005 Nissan Titan starts fine but when I give it some gas for those few seconds (10 or so) i sounds like I have an exhaust leak under my hood, after those 10 seconds are up it sounds fine, this problem...

Yes the VG30E and others in the vg series always had exhaust leaks from manifolds usually it is the passenger side under heat shield broken studs on the front cylinder.

Engine sputters on take off and than runs fine, checked mass flow ,cleaned injectors, checked for exhaust leak

Check the throttle position sensor. Pull any error codes from the computer and respond to those indications...Check your fuel evaporative system, often set to purge at off idle and if raw fuel is being purged, rather than fumes, you can have yoru condition. There is a vapor separator that fails and the evaporative recovery system gets liquid fuel...

2004 nissan titan...ran out of gas

Good chance that even on 4 gallons it may not start I would try for more, prime the fuel pump several times by turning the key on and leaving it on for around 5 seconds then shutting it off and repeating, obviously not trying to start. I've had cases where even small FWD cars won't start even on 4 gallons on a 12 gallon tank. The newer fuel pumps are a closed system that only allow a small portion of fuel into the pump housing to keep contamination down. Let me know if after adding a few more gallons it won't start we will trouble shoot from there. Thank you for using
