Question about Volvo 240
ADJUST THE TPS SENSOR SIGNAL TO 1.0-1.25 VOLTS THROTTLE CLOSED (U MUST USE A DIGITAL VOLT METER, THEY ARE AVAIL AT RADIO SHACK FOR ABOUT $10 FOR A VERY BASIC DVOM), NEVER SET SENSOR CLOSED THROTTLE VOLTAGE TO < 1.0 VOLT, DO THIS WITH THE KEY ON AND ENGINE OFF, THERE ARE THREE WIRES TO THE TPS, SENSOR SIGNAL, GROUND, REFERENCE VOLTAGE, I DON'T HAVE THE ACTUAL WIRE COLORS BUT HERE IS WHAT U DO, ATTACH THE SENSOR AND PROBE THE THREE WIRES WHILE YOU MOVE THE SENSOR WITH THE VOLT METER, YOU WILL SEE THAT ONE OF THE WIRES HAS A VARYING VOLTAGE FROM <1 VOLT TO ABOUT 4 VOLTS AS YOU TURN THE SENSOR, AS I STATED ABOVE ONCE U DETERMINE THE CORRECT SIGNAL WIRE FROM THE TPS ADJUST IT TO 1.0-1.25 VOLTS, NEVER <1 VOLT. ONCE THAT IS DONE TIGHTEN THE SENSOR DOWN AND RECHECK THE VOLTAGE SIGNAL, IT CAN CHANGE, MAKE MORE ADJUSTMENTS IF NECESSARY.
