For a 1995 Toyota Camry 4 cyl, 2.2 L, Automatic 4-spd, that runs on regular gasoline, the miles per gallon in the city is 19 MPG. On the highway, it's 26 MPG, and combined 21 MPG for both city and highway driving. Went from co. 8800ft. to live in wi. at 500ft. vichickle now idles to fast and mpg has gone from 21-23 mpg to 15-17 mpg. it also drops rpm's when coming to a stop to shut down and i have to restart it?

You've moved from an area with thin oxygen to normal oxygen.
Your vehicle needs to be tuned to the new environment. The cost of the adjustments will pay for itself in fuel savings.

How do you know if car is american or canadian?

If your wheel studs are "metric" it is Canadian. If your wheel studs are "standard" it is American. If it is the original hood there is a sticker underneath it that will tell you where it was made.

BAD ON GAS

You should be getting close to 360-390...depending on the type of driving you are doing. Increasing your gas mileage could be as simple as getting a fresh oil and filter job, change your air filter, change your fuel filter...and a biggie believe it or not, make sure you have the proper tire pressure. This will kill your mileage faster than anything else.

City MPG: 16-18 mpg
Combination MPG: 18-21
Highway MPG: Approximately 26 mpg
