Question about 1994 Honda Accord

2 Answers

I have a honda accord 94 that was overheated 3 days ago and the shop fix it already. and while i was driving, i could smell like a burning rubber on the hood. is this from the coolant that came out before it overheated? but the car runs fine, the thermostat is ok. so do i need to go back to the shop and tell them about the smell? thanks jerome

More than likley that is the case. Some anitfreeze may have spilled onto the exhaust manifold when they changed the thermostat or when it overheated. Wouldn't hurt to pop the hood and take a look for yourself though, check for any wires or hoses possbily leaning against the exhast manifold.

Jerome,
what was repaired ? it could be a left over rubber gasket ect. fell down onto the exhaust manifold or pipe.

94 honda accord transmission sliping real bad does it need a new transmission

You need to check the fluid first. Make sure that it is full and that it doesn't smell burned. If it does then it might be an indication that there are some transmission problems. It could be a problem with the transmission computer, but it could also be internal. There is not really any good way to know without taking it to a repair shop that can diagnose it.
