Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country

Where is the Blower Motor Resisitor located in a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country LXi? I checked behind the glove box and did not see the darn thing. Anyone? I have the part and was hoping for a quick fix.

Actually, it's not there. Did some looking and found that it is located inside the engine compartment, on the passenger side, at the top of the firewall, behind the strut. Now I just need to figure out how to get it out. There's only about an inch or two of clearance but, the part is about 3 inches. I am currently working on the problem but, I'll post as I learn more.

No worries. I did find the resisitor, which was loacted on the firewall inside the engine compartment. It was very tricky to unplug as space is very limited. After, 15 minutes or so of trying to coax it out, I simply "yanked" it out. I did bend the sheet metal but, was able to bend it back with no breaks.

It is under the dash by the blower motor on the passengers side.Just turn on the blower motor and follow the fan noise if it works. The resistor will be connected to the blower motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Sorry I looked at the wrong model. But it says here that you might have to remove the wiper module if you can`t get enough clearance.

The a/c was working but now it only works on high. How can this be fixed? I have a 2002 Chrsyler Town and Country mini van.

The blower only works on high? If so it sounds like you need a new blower motor resistor/module. It will be located on the passenger side behind the glove box.

How do I change a blower motor in a chrysler Town and country

Hello, to change the blower motor resistor follow this steps:
  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Open the glove box.
  3. Flex both sides of the glove box bin inward near the top far enough for the rubber glove box stop bumpers to clear the sides of the glove box opening, then roll the glove box downward.
  4. Reach through the glove box opening to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector for the blower motor resistor from the resistor connector receptacle.Blower motor Resistor
  5. Reach through the glove box opening to access and disconnect the blower motor pigtail wire connector from the resistor connector receptacle.
  6. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor to the evaporator housing.
  7. Remove the blower motor resistor from the evaporator housing.

Thanks

My front air does not blow out (it works in the back). I changed the blower relay in the fuse box next to the battery and put in a new blower fan under the glove box but it still does not blow air out in...

Have you replaced the blower motor resistor? It's located behind the passenger-side in-dash glove box. That's what allows you to control the fan speed.

2001 Town and Country. Only Hi works on heater/ac fan. Guessing the fan motor is shot. Where is the darn thing?

There should be a resistor pack that the wires are going to. This is your culprit. If it only works on high, replace the fan speed controller/resistor. The blower motor is behind the glove box. BE SURE TO REMOVE THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE BATTERY FIRST(AIR BAG EQUIPED!). There will be the controller in the ducting nearest the fan.

Where is the front blower motor on a 2004 Town & Country located and how do you get to it?

Behind glove box, look for cover over motor. Disconnect battery negative (-) first & wait a few minutes, (to avoid accidental deployement of airbag)then remove glovebox, and then you'll have access to cover on blower motor. Remove it, then motor. Why are you changing it if you don't mind me asking?
