It sounds to me as though it is the master cylinder. You can try bleeding the master cylinder itself, just to see if you have pressure there. But if you cannot pump them up, I'm betting on a bad master cylinder. I hope this helps you.

Brake master cylander

Not mentioned about what the fault was but if this is leaking or is jammed then the master repair KIT has to be replaced which includes the brake bucket . If the piston is jammed then the brake cylinder or piston must be changed.

My brake pedal goes to the floor, and the brakes don't grab at all. i havebled them & it seems to have gotten worse, any suggestions?

Make sure you have good fluid on the resevoir then bleed each wheel out really good.A steady stream should shoot out of the bleeder valve when the brake pedal is pressed. If you have no pressure, then your vacumn diaphram maybe bad or the master cylinder itself.Bleed it at the resevoir also to make sure you have not gotten any trash or water in the system. If you still have no pressure I would suspect the master cylinder.

I drive a Chevy Venture 2004. in the mornings, when I start up the engine, the brake pedal goes down when I push it. Sometimes, when I am driving slow and I push the brake, it goes down, more than normal....

first check brake fluid level
if fluid is low, this is a good indication that pads or shoes need replacing
check brake lings for wear
check that pcv valve from engine to brake booster is not clogged
to check this pull it out of valve cover and shake it
if it rattles it is good
if it dont rattle it is clogged, replace it
if pads and linings are good and no obvious signs of brake fluid leaking anywhere,(wheels cylanders etc>then the brake master cylander or brake booster is bad
more likely to be booster

Problem with brakes

the brake booster has a rubber diaphragm in it that sometimes goes out and causes that problem

Ford Escape 2001 model - brake pedal sticking

What pushes the pedal back when you release the pedal is a strong spring inside the master cylander that pushes on the piston that moves the brake fluid to the calipers and wheel cyls. This spring should last the life of the master cyl. and replaceing the master cyl. is the only way I know of to replace your weak spring or a piston that is hanging up. Check all the linkage under the dash to be sure that there is not a problem with your pedal linkage that is causing your problem
