the truck just died last night in the middle of a four way intersection, the tow truck that came to get it was owned by a mechanic and he said that every sign that was wrong with my vehicle pointed to the security system, I need to figure out how to reset/disengage the security system.

Hi Tyler_Bennet, I'm not sure what was discussed in your last solution to your problem, so I have a few questions; How many miles are on the vehicle? How old is the battery? What year vehicle and engine size?
Are you able to measure voltage, or have a votage/multimeter?
Thanks in advance.

On my 2002 Trailblazer, when I start the engine, all my dash warning lights on and gauges stop working, the speedo and tach still work.

There is a known problem with the ignition starter switch that causes this, this is the switch that the ignition key operates when you turn it.

At random times I cannot start my 2003 TrailBlazer. When I turn the key, the lights come up on the dash but it doesn't make any sounds like it's even trying to turn on. I cannot figure out what...

This may be the antitheft system starting to fail in your vehicle. Very common on GM vehicles. The key has a transponder in it that communicates with the ignition, and then the ignition passes that signal on to the TDM (theft deterrent module) which allows your starter to start, if any of these parts fail to communicate, the system shuts down and the starter wont roll over. How do I reset oil change light

For a 2005 trailblazer to reset the oil change light you will need to make sure all doors are closed then turn key on and slowly push gas pedal to floor three times within five seconds, this must be done within 5 sec, from the time you turn key on, the key must be on so all dash light are on its right before the engine start postion, after you push gas pedal to floor three times the light will flash a few times then go out. the system is now reset, if it doesnt reset then repeat steps starting with turning the ignition on, take note engine must be off, not running, have a nice day and i hope this is helpful.

I bought a Chevy Trailblazer, used, had keyless remote access Viper Alarm after manufacturer. Had trouble with transmission and alarm....took to Chevy dealer they replaced transmission. Now the remote...

You need to find the black push button called the valet button. That is the overide. Get in the car turn the key to IGN as the alarm is going off and then you have either 5 or 10 seconds to push that button once and then 2-5 seconds later the alarm is shut off. To put the car into valet mode which means no alarm at all you put the key to IGN push that button once then pull key out at which point the blue light should turn solid blue.

Or option two is you open a door and hit the lock, then unlock, then lock button again on the remote and the blue led will be solid which means no crazy alarm.

Won't start

very well could be due to anti theft issue. i don't recall the keys getting locked in the ignition from this though. try turning the key to the on postion- not cranking and leave it there for 15 min, then turn back off. do this three times. you may get a blinking light on the dash- don't worry about it. on the fourth try and start it. what you are doing is telling the alarm- i have the proper keys so let me take my car!

Key stuck in ignition of Trailblazer.

There is a small 1/4'' oblong cover plate on the underside of the stearing column. Pop this out and there is a button you push in ( like the Crysler key relase) and this will allow you to remove the key.
